COACH
I’ve always loved lacrosse and took a chance on coaching at my alma mater. Despite ups and downs, watching players grow has been incredibly rewarding. I started playing in 2004, inspired by my brother, and learned the game with the Rocky River club team under Coach Cintron. In high school, I played for Brunswick, leading the team to the state Final Four, and helped start the varsity program at Holy Name. At the University of Mount Union, I became a three-year starter and two-time captain.
My coaching journey began in high school, continued through college, and included various youth programs and summer leagues. Recently, I was an assistant coach at Holy Name, leading the team to a 10-7 record with a young roster. Coaching at NEOLAX brings me joy as I help young players develop in a sport I love. I emphasize listening and applying lessons, crucial in both lacrosse and life. A memorable moment was helping our goalie break the OHSAA record for most saves, transforming our team. My motto is “It’s a beautiful day for lacrosse,” and my advice is to try new things, focus on personal happiness, and build mental toughness. I cherish the camaraderie and shared passion for lacrosse at NEOLAX.
